Something different every week
At the DeBreedonk location of Surplus, it is always a great atmosphere on Wednesday afternoons. Wednesday is Wellbeing Day and the Wellbeing Team always provides a beautiful and varied program for our residents. From music performances to bingo or an outing outside. From a choir to special food and taste experiences, from an exhibition to a beauty or game afternoon. This is organized for the residents with a lot of creativity and passion. Everyone is welcome to join in the Nassauzaal. And many residents look forward to this pleasant and surprising afternoon, where they are immersed in a new experience every time, something for everyone.
Of course, many hands are welcome at these Wellbeing afternoons. To pick up the residents from their rooms, to guide them, to help where necessary, to have a nice chat, and also to bring them back for their moment of rest.
Does this appeal to you? Helping with all kinds of group activities, events and performances. Are you available on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM? Do you enjoy giving seniors a great day and getting to know multiple residents? Do you like variety and having fun together? Do you like to be surprised and are you open to a variety of experiences? Then get in touch and come and get to know each other and experience the friendly atmosphere at DeBreedonk.
What does it bring you? In addition to some extra entertainment for yourself, it brings you the gratitude and pleasure of the residents, who look forward to a pleasant well-being afternoon! And of course the contacts with the residents and working together with fellow volunteers. Afterwards, the Wednesday afternoon volunteers often have a nice chat.
DeBreedonk is a friendly residential care center of Surplus that is beautifully situated in a green environment, right next to the Mastbos. It is a small-scale location where everyone knows each other. All kinds of activities are organized such as bridge, shuffleboard, sit-down gym, memory training, listening to classical music, drawing, singing, lectures, performances and exhibitions. In deBreedonk, welfare workers and a volunteer coordinator are active who are the point of contact for the volunteers and you will be warmly and cordially welcomed here.
Volunteers are just as much a part of Surplus as paid employees! You are well facilitated, receive a contract, are insured, receive travel expenses (if applicable), receive training & support and occasionally a social get-together and are an internal candidate for vacancies.
Are you interested in this Wednesday afternoon Welfare vacancy. Would you also like to become a volunteer at deBreedonk? Respond and have a no-obligation conversation with the volunteer coordinator.
